Chocolate Peanut Butter Shakeology Protein Pancakes

Chocolate and peanut butter may be one of my favorite flavor combinations...second to sweet and salty. I am sucker for anything sweet and salty. Maple syrup and bacon yumm, how about kettle guilty pleasure! So I pretty much never get tired of sweet/salty or chocolate/ peanut butter. These protein pancakes are moist, fluffy, decadent, and totally CLEAN. Dessert for breakfast? Yes please!

Recipe rundown:

Recipe inspired by @missdomineek on Instagram

1.5 scoop of Shakeology (or chocolate protein powder of choice, the powder you use may alter texture)
1.5 tsp baking powder - makes your cakes nice and fluffy
1 tsp ground flax
1 tsp chia seeds
4 tbs of liquid egg whites
1 banana (1/3 mashed, the rest sliced for on top)
2 tbs chocolate almond milk (or milk of choice)
2 tbs PB2 (powdered peanut butter)
Cinnamon- to taste
Coconut oil

1. Mix the protein powder, baking powder, flax, and chia seeds.

2. Add the mashed banana, egg whites, and almond milk. Mix till smooth.

3. Heat coconut oil over medium. Scoop batter into 3 pancakes. Cook till you start to see bubbles then flip.

4. Mix PB2 with 1-2tbs of water depending on desired constancy. Sprinkle in the cinnamon and mix. Spread in between your pancakes and top with banana in between each layer. I also drizzled some pure maple syrup on top. Enjoy!
