Find Your Inner BAD ASS!

I'm looking for 10 ladies who are READY to find their inner BAD ASS...if this sounds like you keep reading!

Are you ready to dig deep this fall and FIGHT against that dreaded winter fluff?

This time of year can be a challenge with countless social gatherings, holidays, and FOOD. But not this year! Don't hide under cozy sweaters or wait until the new year to start feeling your very best! I am putting together a bad ass group of ladies to support each other through the holiday season and ring in 2017 feeling the BEST you have felt all year.

I am so EXCITED for our brand new MMA style program that channels your inner bad ass. I have been testing out this program over the last month and it seriously makes me feel like I can do ANYTHING. Not only that but this program has been getting amazing results. If you are looking for a new workout program that you can do from home (or wherever you are) with ZERO equipment then apply below to be one of the 10 ladies I work with next month!

Want to see what Core De Force is all about? Check out this video!

If you are ready to FIGHT FOR IT,  I want to work with you! Don't let this video scare you...Joel & Jerricho will walk you through every move AND there is a modifier. I truly believe no matter where you are on your journey you can DO this program and get amazing results.

Who I am looking for?

I am looking for 10 ladies who are willing to WORK for it. As your coach I will give you all the tools you need to succeed but at the end of the day you have to do the work.

That being said we will be on this journey together and I will be here for you every step of the way. I will equip you with 30 minute workouts you can do anywhere, a meal plan, the mindset of a BAD ASS and support along the way.

Yes it will be hard, you will be challenged, sore, uncomfortable at times but that is how CHANGE happens. My goal as your coach is to help you find your health and happiness and help you get results that give you the confidence to do anything!

What will we doing in the BAD ASS BOOTCAMP starting November 14th?!

-We will be doing Core De Force workouts from the comfort of our homes (I will be working out with you!) This is one of many options BUT I highly recommend it if you are ready to feel like a bad ass inside and out. Not only does this program get results it is a ton of fun!

-We will be working on our MINDSETS and reading "You Are A Badass" together. This is one of my favorite personal growth books and it will be my gift to YOU if you are selected to be in the group.

-We will be using an easy to follow meal plan that allows you to still have a glass of wine or chocolate! This is about BALANCE not dieting.

-We will supplement with superfoods daily to make sure our bodies are fueled their very best. This will help you get the proper nutrition without eating salad for every meal AND best part is it tastes like dessert. NO this is not a protein shake.

-We will support and uplift each other every step of the way. When you join this group not only will you have me as your coach, you will be introduced to other amazing women who are committed to being their very best selves and spreading love to each other. I have met some of my BEST FRIENDS through these groups.

If you are READY to drop the excuses and get results, apply below and I will be in touch!

I have been a lifestyle coach for 4 years and my passion is helping other women discover their health and happiness and become the best version of YOU. Give me 30 days and I will show you what is possible with the right tools.

The Adventure Begins...in Canggu, Bali!

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

-Lao Tzu

After 24+ hours of travel...we made it to our "home" for the month!

The journey here was long and trying at times but overall it was smooth sailing. Those first few steps were hard.

Travel fills my soul and tests me in every way. It makes me extremely grateful for the little things like water, food and bed to sleep in. It is easy to take those things for granted on a day to day basis amongst the hustle and bustle of life but become luxuries when traveling.

Before arriving in Bali I had been experiencing some of the most intense anxiety I have had since my college days (when it was the worst). It was definitely my fear trying to get the best of me because after all leaving your comfort zone for the unknown is scary. The difference was I had the tools (yoga, breath, meditation, journaling) to work through the feelings instead of letting it cripple me.

When we landed in Bali there was an overwhelming sense of ease that washed over me. Although I have no idea what the next four months holds I know it is going to be a life changing adventure of self discovery and opening my eyes to a part of the world that has been totally foreign until now.

Adjusting to life here was easier than I thought (I do my best to live with no expectations). No jet lag despite a 15hr time change into the future. My stomach is still adjusting and not the happiest of campers currently but other then that it has been an easy transition.

I am not much of a planner or researcher when I travel and really had no idea what Bali would be like. I had heard it was the Hawaii of Australia, which definitely has some truth but there are many differences...Bali is FAR cheaper, you can get a nice healthy meal for under $10 with a fresh pressed juice.

The best fruit pizza I have ever had, for $3.
Almost everyone speaks English here so communicating hasn't been an issue - besides for when I dropped off our laundry, didn't get a receipt and just hoped everything would get back to us! Getting a week's worth of laundry done for $5 was nice. I definitely won't miss doing my own laundry.

Don't let my smile fool you, the roads here are crazy!
There are NO road rules. Riding on the back of a scooter still scares the crap out of me. We have had a couple close calls that made my heart race more than anything. My goal is to be riding my own scooter by the end of the month. The driving here is frightening to say the least but surprisingly/thankfully I have yet to see anyone crash amongst the controlled chaos.

I had no idea how big the island was! We are living in Canngu, a small beach town that has been developed into a surfer and yogi paradise. I was reminded of the power of the ocean when I decided to swim out past the break. Getting back to shore was a serious challenge, it felt as if I was swimming forever without making any progress. I saw my life flash before my eyes to be perfectly honest, I lost my Ray Bans to the waves but made it back to shore exhausted and thankful to be on land.

Working poolside at Dojo Bali.
Our co-working space is amazing. A co-working space is kind of like a "gym membership" for digital nomads and entrepreneurs. It gives us a comfortable and professional space to work with a solid 24/7 wifi connection and lots of amenities. A variety of work spaces, a pool to cool of midday, community events, a cafe and even acai bowls! It is basically my dream come true.

Beyond the acai bowls LOL, I have always dreamed of being able to work and travel. I feel blessed to be able to combine two of my passions! This trip simply would have not been possible for us if I didn't take the leap of faith 4 years ago with coaching. It has given both Zach and I the freedom to work from anywhere, follow our dreams, given us a platform to share our passions, and inspire others to live life differently while making health and happiness a priority. I am excited to continue building my business on the road and show other coaches out there what is possible with this opportunity (if you are interested in joining my coaching team you can apply here).

Every week we plan to put out a weekly re-cap video with glimpse into life in Asia and what we are up to...that way you can see and hopefully feel a bit of what we are experiencing. Life here is good but I will say I miss everyone back home dearly.

Here is this week's recap...Bali through our eyes, enjoy!

Have you been to Bali?! Anything we must see or do while we are here?

Much love,

Lauren

Chasing Summer: Traveling through Southeast Asia with Remote Experience

The countdown is on...

A week from now we will be saying goodbye to everything familiar and embarking on the journey of a lifetime.

Today I got an e-mail from the company organizing the logistics of our travel, The Remote Experience.  Seeing photos of where we will be living and working next month made it feel that much more REAL.  But it probably won't hit me until we have packed our bags and left our comfort zones at home.

4 months of living in Asia, this is happening!

And I am scared shitless to be perfectly honest.

I plan to document our adventure here, share what I learn, and take you along for the ride- if you care to join.  Since I announced our trip a bunch of you have asked questions about our upcoming travels, where we are going, staying, why Asia (I thought you were moving to Hawaii) etc ?!

So I figured I would start by sharing a bit more of our "plans" and HOW this all came to be.

Yes. Originally our "plan" was to pack up shop in the Pacific Northwest and move to Hawaii. But I have quickly learned that life plans are always changing. I have never been much of a planner, I simply go wherever the wind takes me and never say no to new adventures.

It has been a dream for YEARS to move to Hawaii. Hawaii will always hold a special piece of my heart but so does the Pacific Northwest and we really love the town we live in now- Bellingham, WA. So after a lot of thought we decided we wanted to stay here and would go to Hawaii for an extended period of time without moving.

Here is the thing...finding short term rentals in Hawaii (that allow dogs) is HARD. It proved to be a lot easier said than done.

Then I traveled to Spain to visit a friend who is traveling with Remote Year , which introduced me to the idea of traveling with a group of digital nomads and working abroad. Thanks to coaching, Zach and I have the freedom to set up shop and work from anywhere there is a wi-fi signal which gives us location independence.

To clarify the company organizing our travels does NOT provide participants with a job (if you need help creating remote work I can help with that) . They simply handle all of the logistics of our travel including living accommodations, co-working space, 24/7 access to wifi, connect us to a community of other digital nomads, airfare, and even take us on monthly group excursions! So far they have been amazing and incredibly helpful.

I have always DREAMED of traveling to Asia. But as an entrepreneur with a successful online business the thought of sleeping in random hostels, searching for a wifi signal to get some work done and planning all of the logistics of a big trip like this seemed daunting and not compatible with my lifestyle or business. In college I stayed in my fair share of hostels and had nothing but great experiences but it definitely doesn't feel like a professional and productive environment for the long term.

When we found this opportunity it was like the stars aligned! It was meant to be...we could escape the dreary Pacific Northwest fall/winter weather and CHASE SUMMER in Asia. Without out all the headaches of travel(hopefully).

I know we are in for a grand adventure, it isn't going to be easy, or glamorous all the time. Travel tests you in every way possible but the experiences and personal growth it provides are priceless.

Here is our loose itinerary for the next 4 months, this is where will have a "home base" but we will also be adventuring through the surrounding areas:

October- Canggu, Bali

November- Ubud, Bali

December- Chiang Mai, Thailand

January- Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

I am excited to live in each place for a month and really soak up the culture!

After a 20 hour journey to Bali this is the villa where we will be living for the first month along with 3 other digital nomads and new friends...

Welcome to paradise aka home next month!
Private bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, shared living spaces.

Not only is the beach near by, we have our own pool!
In less than 2 weeks I will be writing you/ working from Bali which blows my mind...

5 years ago if you had asked if this would be MY life I would have thought you were crazy. It is amazing what can happen with a vision, hard work and hustle! None of this would be possible if it wasn't for coaching and the freedom to work from anywhere.

If traveling and seeing the world is something that calls to you (like it has for me) CREATE a life that gives you the ability to do so! Too many people let fear and what ifs hold them back from truly living the life of their dreams. Like I said I am scared shitless but I have never let fear stop me from chasing and ultimately living my dreams. I encourage you to do the same, whatever YOUR dreams may be..

More to come soon! If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out, I love hearing from my readers, especially if you have made it this far ;) . Thank you for being a part of my journey!

I'm curious...if you could travel anywhere, where would you go first?!

Now here is a harder question, what is stopping you??

I will leave with that as food for thought and would love to hear your answer in the comments below :).

Sending you love & light where ever you may be...

I'm Alive & Well....and Headed to Asia!

Why hello there!

It has been quite some time since I have written on this blog...you may have thought I fell off the face of the earth (unless you follow me on my other SM platforms lol) based on my lack of posts here.

Good news is I am alive and well, and READY to break the silence...

So why the lack of posts?!

My temporary absences from the online blogging world was no accident. I have been doing A LOT of  reflecting and thinking on the direction I want to go with my business and brand. My goal is to CREATE something that adds massive value to my readers and has a lasting impact on the world.

So here is the scoop...

This blog started as "Kitchen Queen Eats Clean". I was known as the self proclaimed kitchen queen! The thing is my clean eating journey evolved into SO MUCH MORE. What started as a lifestyle change has turned into my entire LIFE. I have built a coaching business around doing something I love and sharing it with the world.

Writing under the name Kitchen Queen didn't fit or feel like it was me anymore. Every time I came to post or share something of value with my readers, my words felt like they had no meaning and I was left feeling uninspired by my own brand. So obviously something had to change.

The time had come to rebrand which was a scary but necessary leap of faith. The Kitchen Queen is now just Lauren Kilisky aka me :).

I felt like branding my name vs my blogger alias gives me the platform to start sharing so much MORE of my life beyond just food. I love food, clean eating and nutrition has changed my life but I promise I do more than just cook all day (although that would be fun!).

I am so excited to get this blog back up and running! I have many projects in the works and more than anything I want to create tools and resources to help you navigate this journey of life and living it healthy and happy. So if there is something you would like to see more of, I am ALL ears! Feel free to comment below or inbox me.

Now that I have broken the blogging silence I will be sharing a bit of what is to come...

What started as a dream is becoming our REALITY this fall. It is no secret Zach and I have our fair share of Wanderlust, that burning urge to travel, adventure and SEE the world with our own two eyes.  I have always dreamed of traveling through out Southeast Asia. That part of the world fascinates me, maybe because it is SO different?!

When the opportunity to travel to SE Asia with a group of fellow digital nomads and working professionals fell into our laps we couldn't say no. More to come on HOW this all fell into place but for now here is the news:

October 3rd we leave for Southeast Asia for FOUR MONTHS!

I can't believe it is happening, that date is quickly approaching and my to-do list before we leave still feels miles long. Taking it one day at a time as always! The excitement is quickly building and it is SURREAL that in less than a month I will writing you all from Asia. Dream BIG, anything is fucking possible when you remove your mental limitations and put in the WORK. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise <3.

Stay tuned for more...
